Wandercam: a portfolio that practices what it preaches
When your entire promise is authenticity, your own website is the first test of it. Wandercam is Siemon Vanderhulst photographer, videographer, and the rare creative who also thinks like a marketer. The site had to do for him exactly what he does for clients: tell a real story, prove it with the work, and make a business reason to get in touch.
The challenge
The challenge with creative portfolios is that they often lean on adjectives — "authentic," "impactful," "professional" — and show very little. The risk was a site that talked about authenticity instead of demonstrating it. It also had to hold two things at once: a personal brand built around one person, and the B2B credibility that wins corporate work.
So the work leads. Photography and video each get their own space, the homepage puts faces and real projects front and centre, and named client cases back the promise with evidence rather than claims. Siemon's own voice runs through it, and a client testimonial does the convincing that self-description can't. The result reads less like a brochure and more like a body of work that happens to be for hire.

The site turns a one-person creative practice into a credible B2B partner proof, not adjectives, that authenticity is the whole point.

Ik vond het niet eenvoudig om uit te leggen hoe ik mijn website er wilde laten uitzien maar Jef begreep meteen wat ik voor ogen had.
